EL CAJÓN

"El cajón dam" is a hydroelectric power plant in western Honduras. It is the 15th highest in the world and has a total output of 600 megawatts, enough to supply energy to all of Central America. It also has a maximum capacity of 5,700 million cubic meters of water. Although these specificities could be enough to want to see this site, the purpose of my collaborators and I was another. We went there hoping to find two of the rarest species of hummingbirds in the world, the Berylline Hummingbird and the Honduran Emerald.
